Benefit Concert - Thursday, June 26th, at the Pines Theatre, Chatham. 7-9pm.

A NIGHT OF MUSIC AND DANCE FOR PEYTON
Featuring #24 Jordan Roy of the Chatham Cougars

Charlene Roy has organized a benefit concert for Shawn & Deb Meriano (of Chatham) and their baby girl Peyton. Deb was diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy with Peyton. On Sept. 7, 2007 Peyton was born 13 weeks premature, only 2lbs, suffering many health upsets.

In order to relieve the financial stress of Peyton's medical expenses and the unique challenges that the family is facing, 20 local dancers, musicians and singers are volunteering their time in a benefit concert for the family. The evening will pre-show violinists (Kandis & Eric Trachy) as people enter the Pines Theatre, then approx 2 hours of entertainment: solo vocal performances (Judy Paling, Charlene Roy, Floyd Porter, Robert Rose, Jordan Roy, Shekira Rose), 10 Piece Rock-pop-blues band "Niteflite" (Vaughn Pugh, Doug Smith, Jim Smith, Eldon Brown, Al Rathwell, Rocco DeSantis, St. Clair Shadd, Pat Bates, John Leigh, Byron Harrett) and salsa and argentine dance performances by Rhythm of the Night Dance Studio (Randy & Karen Parent, Pete Harris, Nora Nelson).
