London Beefeater Coach Brad Winder at NFL Clinic Tonight

The Chatham-Kent Cougars have a special guest at the NFL Canada clinic today, London Beefeater Coach Brad Winder.

The 52-year-old Winder most recently spent time with the Beefeaters as an assistant under Mike Circelli. Winder, a native of Vancouver, B.C., was born in 1956 and has been involved in coaching in some shape or form for 30 years now. Over those 30 years, he has been involved with multiple sports, foraying most often into coaching roles within fencing and football. This includes a 15-year stint with the University of Waterloo football team, where he has worked primarily as special teams coach (check). He has also acted as assistant football coach at Laurier HS and as the Head Coach of the London Beefeaters football club, which he did for four seasons while coaching fencing at Western.

Winder has 16 years of experience in Canadian university football and eight in the CJFL. He has also spent time helping the Laurier high school program and played junior football with British Columbia's Richmond Raiders and in the senior ranks with the Brampton Bears. Winder considers his greatest achievement over the 30 years he has coached to be any positive impact he has been able to make on the athletes he has coached. He describes The smile on an athlete's face no matter what level or sport when they achieve success' as the most rewarding moment he has ever experienced in coaching.
